Shinetech OTC Features/Advantages
Shinetech OTC is developed to provide our clients a complete control over the testing process. With the basic principles “Communication, Openness and Collaboration”, by the way of communication channels like E-mail, Instant Messengers (MSN, Skype and Gtalk, etc), telephone, IP-telephone, NetMeeting and software for collaborative work (such as online project management tools (PMS), bug trackers, etc), Shinetech team collaborates with clients without any barriers to ensuring smooth project implementation, and the clients could efficiently monitor the testing process.
- Comprehensive Communication--Understanding the customer's requirements is essential for a successful outsourcing project. Therefore close and open communication is required at each stage of the project implementation - both between the Shinetech team and the customer and internally among the OTC team members.
- External Communication--Shinetech build OTC as an extension of our client's internal QA team. The dedicated Project Manager of the Shinetech OTC team will communicate with the client's QA manager every day. We submit daily status reports containing the results of performed work as well as the next day's work plan. We are also available for prompt discussion and problem resolution via phone or Instant Messenger chat. And not afraid to ask questions to clarify our understanding of your requirements. These all enables our clients to control the project implementation at any stage.
- Internal Communication--The Shinetech OTC holds daily internal meetings at the start of the work day. The QA engineers are briefed on the daily work requirements. Short impromptu discussions are initiated at any time of the day and the project manager of course monitors daily work.
- Transparent Project Progress--Via clear and constant communication with the customer including the daily status reporting, real-time discussions and Shinetech's internally developed online project management tool PMS, Shinetech maintains a fully transparent project progress to the customer, empowering the customer to maintain control of the project and keep abreast of all related details including project progress, open and complete tasks for each team member, project risks and status control.
- Customer's Comprehensive Control--With the OTC cooperation model, the customer has comprehensive control of the project implementation at any stage. Via the daily work report, Project Management Tool, bug tracking system, the client-side manager can coordinate all activities, track requirement changes, help to quickly resolve issues, and control the progress of work. As a result, the customer controls project dynamics and fine tunes the testing process in real-time.
- Free Trail--This is the most efficient way to lower your risks out of the partner selection. We understand you might doubt if Shinetech QA team has the ability to be your offshore testing partner and how we can drive your project to a successful end, so we are willing to offer you a free trial with about 40-man-hour work to value our testing capabilities, level of communication and project management skills etc without any risks. Shinetech will work with you to define the scope of this pilot project and the QA engineers passed the trial will participate in your future Shinetech OTC team.
- Productivity--Shinetech guarantees a zero turnover rate over the life of an OTC contract. The stable resources continuously accumulate experience related to the client's specific technologies, industry, and business requirements, therefore continuously improving the efficiency and quality of work.
- Adaptable testing teams--Shinetech OTC teams can be resized based on your project practice without any surcharges. To add a team member, simply provide your account manager with advanced notification, then our project managers will work with the HR department to find new staff, either from the internal pool or from the talented Beijing IT community. If some testers become surplus for your project, simply notify you account manager with forward notice, Shinetech will remove them to avoid the problem of redundancy.
- Cost Saving--Besides significant cost savings on infrastructure and human resources costs, OTC also provides the cost savings provided by stable teams with their continuously improving efficiency and skill sets. Also the additional cost savings produced (15%~20%) by the contracts last over 6 months with the other business models.
- Strict adherence to the customer's privacy and security--Shinetech strictly adheres to our intellectual property (IP) protection program. Our or your Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) can be signed to protect non-public customer information used during project implementation. For OTC cooperation model clients, based on their specific needs, special IP protection measures such as special staff training, meetings with testers and managers, isolated networks, work on dedicated servers on the customer's site (bug-tracker, application servers) can be taken to mitigate/eliminate the risks.
