Shinetech lately established a six-member Offshore Development Center (ODC) for a UK client. The client provides business improvement and sales acceleration programs for customers located in over 120 countries worldwide in 13 different languages.

The client assigned five projects to the ODC, covering e-commerce, crystal report, marketing management etc, and we are responsible for the requirement analysis, design, coding and testing of all the projects.

Now, three of the projects have been kicked off simultaneously. Shinetech adopts Scrum — one of the agile development approaches, performing simple, iterative and incremental implementation to meet the changing requirement from the client side. The project teams hold brief daily meetings; make measurable deliveries on week basis. The scrum master communicates with the client every day in multiple ways to identify the requirements prioritization and the problems emerged during the development cycles. Other members in the teams, including the system architect, programmers and testers, are all accessible to the client for each individual work.
