A long term .Net ODC for a Dutch Client Launches in May.( May 21, 2008)

Shientech has gained another big long-term ODC contract recently from a Dutch IT company who is dedicated in providing social networking service for its users.

The project is to carry on the development of a social networking site uncompleted by another software development company, with .net as its platform. The main feature of the website is that the users can add and edit freely in a flash interface what happened in their daily lives, which creates strong interactive experience for them. However, one of the problems is that the previous code is quite poor in its maintainability. Therefore, with the approval of the client, our software engineers rebuild a brand new framework to realize the present functionalities.

Four months has passed from the first contact with the client to the signing of the contract by now. Being satisfied with our good performance on the free pilot which assigned to us before the formally launch of the project, as well as with our customized PMS (Project Management System), the client then chose us out of the other two rival companies as their co-partner to take over this project.

And now one-year contract has already been signed between the two parties. There are one-half Project Manager, a Software Architect, two programmers and a tester involved in this project at the moment. The whole project is expected to be lasted for over two years, including the updating and maintenance services at its latter stage.
