![]() A 16-member ODC running for an EU Vertical Market Software CompanyClient's Situation The client's in-house team operates with a custom development methodology. The team has been developing a 100+ person-year product for many years. The product was too large and complicated, and had accumulated numerous difficult bugs that had hindered further development. To shorten the time-to-market, the client decided to outsource the testing and bug fixing work enabling their in-house team to focus on its core competencies. The client's business application logic changes frequently requiring a testing/development team that is flexible enough to adapt to the constantly changing requirements and the onsite team's development rhythm. Shinetech's Responsibility: Bug fixing and module development Cooperation duration: Over 1 year Development model: Agile development Team Roles Client's team - a product owner responsible for requirements related communication with each developer. Project Managers coordinate the onsite and offshore teams' work Cooperation Shinetech established a 10-member team for the initial cooperation period to meet the client's heavy workload. The Shinetech scrum master traveled to the client site for a one-week of in-person training. Then, the client's training team traveled to Beijing to facilitate a one-month period of knowledge transfer. For the first few months of development, Shinetech was assigned relatively simpler UI, UI testing and non-core module development while we learned how to work together. During this initial development period, both sides learned of each other's development flow and working culture while establishing the most suitable communication methods. In the year that followed, the client gradually transferred responsibility for core module development and testing, allowing them to shrink the size of their onsite team. . Finally, Shinetech's top-notch performance has allowed the client to transfer all of its product development/ testing work to Shinetech.Request the complete case study
